PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

 We celebrate Columbus, Deming, and Luna County and the people who's efforts make each of those places unique. If you have been around as long as we have--over 29 years--you have the opportunity to bear witness and support a lot of marvelous things unfolding in your community

​

A bedrock of our community is the ability and willingness of residents to pull together. Examples include the recent response to the immediate needs of asylum-seekers deposited on our city streets or the thousands upon thousands of volunteer and public service employee hours happening behind-the-scenes year in and year out to provide important services for our neighbors. The annual Celebration of Life raising funds to deliver support to cancer survivors in our community is one of countless examples of the heartfelt efforts that unfold on a daily basis here in Luna County. Other mainstays are the members of the business community who continually step forward to give back to others.

Currently the Sherman Community Foundation shelters the following organizations and their efforts, but don't forget to also check out the list below of Clubs, Organizations, & Adult Volunteer Opportunities. There is something for everyone.

As a 501 (c)(3) we encourage donations to the above projects and programs:

Activity Guide, Children's Reading Foundation, Early Childhood Coalition, or the Imagination Library. You may securely donate online via Paypal, or feel free to call our office (575-546-8846) to donate by credit card, or mail a check or money order to the address below.
